in an interview with cnn sportsNeymar has spoken about the possibility of a possible reunion with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, who has been linked with a move to Inter Miami.
“Obviously, it would be incredible to play with (Lionel) Messi and (Luis) Suarez again,” he told CNN.
“They are my friends. We still talk to each other. It would be interesting to revive this trio. I’m happy at Al Hilal, I’m happy in Saudi Arabia, but who knows? Football is full of surprises.,
“When the news came that I was leaving Paris Saint-Germain, the transfer window in the United States was closed, so I didn’t have that option,” He added.
Neymar’s iconic partnership with Messi and Suarez at Barcelona, known as the ‘MSN’, is still regarded as one of the most lethal attacking combinations to ever grace the pitch.
The trio could potentially reunite at Inter Miami, where Messi and Suarez could remain for another year.
Meanwhile, Neymar is contracted to Al Hilal until the summer of 2025, after which he will be free to choose his next destination.
Neymar called Saudi League better than League 1
Cristiano Ronaldo faced major criticism across the European football world when he described the Saudi Arabian League as a better league than Ligue 1.
However, Ronaldo has now received support from a fellow Saudi league player in the form of Neymar.
Neymar explained why he believes Ligue 1 has become weaker than the Saudi Pro League, after playing in both leagues.
“Today, I think it is,” said the Brazilian. “The level of the Saudi Pro League is rising and as far as I see, it is better than League 1. Ligue 1 has its positives. The league is very strong. I have played in it, so I know it very well.,
“Today, the players in the Saudi Pro League are better. Saudi Arabia has surprised me in a positive way. People, country, city, culture. I think this is a country that is constantly growing,he adds.
Neymar moved to Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2023, joining Al Hilal. However, during his 18-month stint in the country so far, the forward has only managed to make seven competitive appearances.
In contrast, the Brazilian had made 173 appearances in France over six years with Paris Saint-Germain.
