Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has praised Ronald Araujo amid speculation the Serie A team will sign the Barcelona defender in January.
Araújo is said to be “seriously considering” leaving Hansi Flick and moving to Italy for a new challenge with the Turin giants.
Giuntoli was asked about the speculation ahead of his team’s match against Torino on Saturday and he said he was hoping for good news.
“We have to respect many parameters. It is difficult to move important players in the month of January, we have to be a little patient,” he told DAZN
“The market can offer you more or less certain conditions. Araujo and Kolo Muani? They are good players, but we hope there will be positive news this week.
“Month of Truth? At Juve you are always under scrutiny. We know that we have traveled from zero to one. We are confident that we will be able to return as heroes soon.
Barcelona are believed to be willing to let Araujo leave this winter if the club matches his asking price, but it still remains to be seen whether a deal will be reached.
