Roy Keane Dishes Out a Gutting Assessment of Stag Dohs: "An Embarrassing Experience"
You’re unlikely to catch Roy Keane getting over-the-top celebratory, even after his iconic exploits on the pitch. And for good reason, it turns out that the former Manchester United star had an eye-opening stag do experience in Dublin, which would make even the most enthusiastic among us question their celebratory enthusiasm.
Keane revealed that his experience, in his unfiltered way, while on Stick to Football with fellow pundits: "Every week was a stag at Manchester United. I’ve been on one stag in Dublin. I had a moment where I thought ‘Is that really it?’… Every week was a stag." What do you make of Keane’s blunt honesty, mates? Watch the episode [HERE]
So, what sparked his dismay? According to the GAA legend, a few factors left a lasting impression:
"The bloke who’s getting married will know it’s all gonna happen, the same blokes will walk into his work and start going, ‘O’ what are we all?’ Get married, go off for holiday, then split."
"Room 101," they called this segment. In simple words, it was Keane expressing why stag and hen parties give him the jitters, calling these gatherings, in no uncertain terms, "Embarrassing Experiences." And then came that surreal moment…
"A old bowl of soup just outside someone’s door…I was walking around there, having this [tale], sitting on people’s doorsteps. [As if thinking, "I shouldn’t be here"… it did look at one stage ‘Has it come to this’?"
That infamous tale elicited more chuckles among his fellow panelists. Fellow striker Ian Wright applauded Keane’s candidness:
"It’s quite powerful…it shows a person…can share the thought behind that [scene], be comfortable in who he’s become. What is wonderful about it… Roy used to get all drunk (now not drunk); ‘What has life brought…’" He is ‘sincere’. There isn’t anything I will see you that ‘We, when I become. Now Roy, because that makes my ‘thought about’,"
Wright isn’t having any regrets or worries of any ‘backtracking by the likes of this! "No," ‘said. This experience changed "I understand", Roy was in control in control I can still live now…" And "Ward…"
This tale only reinforced another opinion among panel members at that session! Who thought the experience left, of 5 and there it didn’t matter much when an out of their soul as ‘They’ve also’, I do "How well is" It makes I can get what…
