Manchester United Star Lisandro Martinez’s Instagram Hacked, Brutal Lionel Messi Meme Stuns Fans
Lisandro Martinez, the Argentine defender, has had his Instagram account hacked, and fans are left stunned after a brutal Lionel Messi meme was posted. The Manchester United star took to his story to assure his followers that his account is now back under his control.
Martinez, who has been on a pre-season tour with Manchester United in the United States, had his account hacked on Tuesday night. The hacker posted a picture of Messi holding the Ballon d’Or, with Martinez’s face superimposed onto the Argentine’s. The caption read: "Lamento que me hayan robado la cuenta," which translates to "I’m sorry that my account was stolen."
Martinez quickly regained control of his account and posted a statement saying: "I recovered my Instagram account. Everything is under control now." Fans of the 23-year-old were left in shock and disbelief, with many taking to social media to express their surprise and disappointment.
This incident comes after Martinez’s struggles on the pitch last season, where he made only 14 appearances across all competitions due to injuries. However, he did manage to help Manchester United win the FA Cup in May, and he was also part of the Argentina squad that won the 2024 Copa America.
The Manchester United defender is currently with his team on their pre-season tour, where they lost 2-1 to Arsenal at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Manager Erik ten Hag praised his team’s performance, saying: "I think [the game] was a very good level for the third week of pre-season, from both sides, but in the first half I thought we were the better team."
