After a dominating 7-0 win over Barnsley in the Carabao Cup, Marcus Rashford took to Instagram to share a throwback post that will make United fans nostalgic. The striker, who scored a sublime goal in each half against the League One side, shared a screenshot from Google Maps that showed a youthful Marcus kitted out in a Manchester United jersey in April 2009, long before he became an accomplished player.
The tweet-turned-post has left Red Devils supporters gushing as the image captures Rashford at a pivotal moment in his career, when he was just 11-years-old and part of Manchester United’s academy. Judging by the screenshot’s context, it appears he must have been on one of his first trips out with the youth team to training sessions.
The Instagram caption read, "Button Lane pick up point."
A goal-getter or the moment: Rashford took to the pitch versus Barnsley and ensured Man United advanced to the Carabao Cup with authority.
This season hasn’t been kind to the star forward, but there seems to be a revitalization brewing. With United already knocked out of the league cup, Rashford needs to build on these performance levels. He refused to get ahead of himself when discussing the win.

Talking post-match, Rashford gave an insight into Erik Ten Hag’s philosophy saying:
