Real Madrid’s Superstar Quartet’s Tunnel Talk: "We Need to Finish the Attack"
Real Madrid’s 1-1 draw against RCD Mallorca on Sunday night didn’t exactly set the Santiago Bernabeu alight, but one thing that’s got fans buzzing is the tunnel conversation between their star quartet of Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, and Rodrygo.
As the teams made their way onto the pitch for the second half, cameras captured a snippet of conversation between the four superstars. Bellingham, the English midfielder, can be heard saying, "You three, we need to finish the attack, because the running back… is f***ing hard." Mbappe, the French striker, replies, "That’s what I’m saying. We have to finish with something." Bellingham then adds, "Yeah, even… create a yard and [shoot]."
The conversation, captured on camera, suggests that Real Madrid’s attack was struggling to find the cutting edge they needed to break down Mallorca’s stubborn defense. Despite the high-flying attack, it’s clear that the team is aware that their finish has been lacking.
Carlo Ancelotti, the Real Madrid boss, was left frustrated after the game, saying, "Last year I was happy with some draws, but not today. We could have done much better. I don’t want to make excuses. We just had to do better, with more attitude."
Real Madrid’s struggles in the attack department are nothing new, with some critics suggesting that they need to find a more balanced approach. Ancelotti acknowledged the need for balance, saying, "We need to defend better. We need more balance. We’ve said it before, we’re very offensive and balance is essential."
For Real Madrid, the draw means that they’ve dropped two points and fallen further behind in the La Liga title race. However, there’s still plenty of time to get their season back on track. Up next for the Galacticos is a trip to the Santiago Bernabeu to take on Real Valladolid, with the chance to make up ground and get back to winning ways.
Will Real Madrid be able to get their attack firing on all cylinders, or will their struggles continue? Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more updates, and follow us on all social media platforms to keep up with the latest news and opinions!
