Fans spot Gabriel’s furious response after bizarre Andre Onana tactic in Man Utd vs Arsenal penalty shootout

Manchester United Suffer Pre-Season Defeat to Arsenal in California

It was a night to forget for Manchester United in California, as they fell to a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in a pre-season friendly. The Red Devils started strong, taking the lead through Rasmus Hojlund’s early goal, but were eventually overcome by a Mikel Arteta-inspired Gunners side.

Gabriel Martinelli sealed the win for Arsenal, and things got interesting in the penalty shootout that followed. United goalkeeper Andre Onana was guilty of some rather… let’s say, creative goalkeeping tactics, trying to psych out the Arsenal players with his positioning and suggestions. But, to no one’s surprise, Gabriel wasn’t having it.

The Arsenal defender calmly converted his penalty, before gesturing to Onana to "quiet down". And, boy, did he mean business. The response from Gunners fans was immediate, with many taking to social media to express their admiration for Gabriel’s composed finish.

United’s loss will undoubtedly sting, especially ahead of the upcoming Community Shield match against Manchester City. Arsenal, on the other hand, are building momentum and confidence ahead of their campaign opener against Wolves on August 17.
