Wrexham Stars Reveal Surprising Reward Demand from Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney
In a bid to secure a historic third consecutive promotion, Wrexham stars Paul Mullin and Elliot Lee have dropped a bombshell regarding their desired reward from club owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Fresh from attending the Professional Footballers’ Association in Manchester, the duo has been talking to 90min about their aspirations for the 2024-25 season. While they are confident of a strong campaign, Mullin revealed an unexpected wish list: a return trip to Butlins, a holiday resort known for its nostalgic appeal.
"We’ll go to Butlins this time, so everyone stops speaking about it," Mullin joked. For those unaware, Reynolds and McElhenney have been generous with rewards in the past. In the summer, they treated the squad to a celebratory trip to Las Vegas.
Wrexham’s ascent to League One has been nothing short of meteoric, with the Welsh club stacking their squad with players accustomed to competing at a higher level. They are among the early favorites to secure promotion to the Championship this term.
As for Mullin and Lee’s goals for the upcoming campaign, they remain committed to their formula for success. "We’ve just got to go out and continue doing what we’ve been doing for the last three years," Mullin said. "Make the town proud, keep doing what we’re doing, and the results will hopefully come on the back of that."
Their commitment to the Wrexham community has been a significant factor in their rise up the divisions. A win would see them create history and continue to thrive under Reynolds and McElhenney’s guidance.
With the season kicking off, it’s anyone’s guess whether Wrexham can deliver on their promise. Follow us on all social media platforms for more updates on this incredible story.
