Crystal Palace boss Patrick Vieira has given insight into his decision not to allow in-form attacker Michael Olise to start in the club’s latest outing on Saturday afternoon.
Vieira, of course, led his troops back into action earlier today.
Following a single victory in the club’s last four outings in all competitions, the Eagles traveled west to London to rejoin Thomas Frank’s Brentford side.
And, when all was said and done, Palace were once again forced to settle for fewer than three points, en route to a disappointing 0-0 draw.
The visitors dominated when it came to possession at Community Stadium, but ultimately fell short in their efforts to land an all-important winner.
Finish scoreless in West London.

Olise most recent
Palace’s lack of avant-garde on display on Saturday, as mentioned above, came as shining star Michael Olise was surprisingly forced to make do with a place on the bank in west London.
Olise, 20, entered the weekend with a goal and two assists in his last two games in all competitions.
Speaking at his post-match press conference tonight, Patrick Vieira, in turn, was inevitably drawn to the absence of his fit young attacker from the start.
However, the Palace boss was quick to ease any concerns, saying he was simply keen to give Olise some much-needed rest, ahead of a predictably tough test against Brentford:
Vieira about dropping Olise. “He started two games. He just wanted to bring some fresh legs because he knew how hard and difficult it would be and how hard the forward players had to work. With Jordan’s experience, it’s one of the reasons I made that decision.” #CPFC
