Former India coach Ravi Shastri appreciated Virat Kohli’s energy in front of the ICC Champions Trophy final against New Zealand, saying the Indian batsman had the kind of energy that was equal to some top players in the world.
Kohli has scored 217 runs in this ICC Champions Trophy, but Shastri said that it was his energy on the ground during the fielding and his performance was very sports.
“You know that people (eg) watch the game when they see a player with energy,” Shastri asked the ICC review. “Whether her name (Cristiano) is Ronaldo or it (Lionel) is Messi or whether it is (Novak) Djokovic or is it (Rafael) Nadal, the energy that she brings – a certain type of charisma and it rubs on other people. They want to see the man playing.”
Shastri also talked about what Kohli set in Odis and how a return made him successful, pushed him aside the recession that faced him for a few years.
“I felt that he tried to get ahead of himself in the last three or four years, where he was trying to move forward what he is good and sometimes, it could catch it on you. But he has come back that he does the best, who carries a single, kills the ball with the ground, if necessary, if necessary, Shastri said, especially the most players who can do so, who can do so.
He then said, “When you easily pick up the single, there is no pressure. And then when you have another boy at the other end, a person like Shreyas (Iyer) comes and gives it a smack, it turns off the pressure, it becomes easier. ,
