Plymouth Argyle Eyeing Ravel Morrison Transfer as Wayne Rooney Seeks Attacking Boost
Wayne Rooney, the new head coach of Plymouth Argyle, is reportedly considering a move for former Manchester United midfielder Ravel Morrison on deadline day. The Jamaican international has been training with the Pilgrims and has impressed scouts, leading Rooney to believe he could be the attacking spark his team needs.
Morrison, who was once touted as one of the brightest young talents in United’s academy, has had a tumultuous career, with issues off the pitch hindering his progress. Rooney, who played with Morrison at Old Trafford, has spoken publicly about his frustration with the midfielder’s lack of focus, even going so far as to smash his phone in a bid to get him to focus.
Despite his struggles, Morrison has shown flashes of brilliance on the pitch, and Rooney believes he could be the perfect fit for Plymouth’s attacking style. The Pilgrims have had a slow start to the season, and the addition of Morrison could be just the boost they need to get their campaign back on track.
If a deal is struck, it would be the fourth time Rooney and Morrison have worked together, having also partnered at Derby County and DC United. The pair have a close relationship, and Rooney’s faith in Morrison’s ability could be the key to unlocking his potential.
