Trent’s former teacher SHOCKS on live TV: “England will FALL SHORT”!

Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Old School Teacher Puts England on Notice Ahead of Euro 2024 Semi-Final

The hosts of ITV’s This Morning were left stunned when Trent Alexander-Arnold’s old school teacher, Derek Williams, tipped England to lose on live TV. The prediction came ahead of England’s highly anticipated semi-final match against the Netherlands in Euro 2024.

Gareth Southgate’s side has been underwhelming in Germany, with the manager and his star players coming under intense scrutiny. England’s journey to the semi-finals has been marked by close calls, including a 95th-minute Jude Bellingham wondergoal and an extra-time winner from Harry Kane.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, a key player for Liverpool, scored the winning spot-kick against Switzerland in the round-of-16 tie. However, he is not expected to start against the Netherlands in Dortmund. ITV chat show This Morning decided to invite his old school teacher, Derek Williams, onto the programme to share his thoughts on the match.

During the video chat, hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley asked Williams for his match prediction. They certainly didn’t expect the reply he gave. "Gonna get beat 2-1, [Cody] Gakpo and [Virgil] Van Dijk are gonna score, and Trent will score the goal for them. Liverpool connection," Williams said.

Slightly taken aback, Shephard replied, "So you’re saying that England are going to lose?" Williams replied deadpan, "I think they might, yeah. I think the Liverpool lads might score a goal tonight."

England’s chances of winning the tournament are still alive, but they face a tough test against the Netherlands. If they can overcome this hurdle, they will face Spain in the final on Sunday, a repeat of the 2023 Women’s World Cup final.

What do you think, 90min fans? Can England overcome the odds and reach the final, or will the Netherlands prove too strong? Let us know in the comments below!
