Premier League ace and West Ham United defender Kurt Zouma was filmed slapping and kicking his cat like a football on his kitchen floor.
In a terrifying video, Zouma, 27, can be seen chasing the petrified animal around his room as the cameraman laughs. According to The Sun, the footage was most likely shot a day after the Hammers’ FA Cup win over non-league Kidderminster Harriers. Zouma’s brother Yoan is believed to have filmed the incident before uploading it to Snapchat.
A video obtained by The Sun allegedly shows footballer Kurt Zouma kicking and punching his cat.
It is absolutely disgusting and disturbing footage. I hope he will be prosecuted for animal cruelty. pic.twitter.com/3K7xMeHh5j

Zouma issued an apology for his actions and stated that it was an isolated incident.
“I also want to say how very sorry I am to anyone who was upset by the video,” he said. “I would like to assure everyone that both of our cats are perfectly fine and healthy.
“They are loved and appreciated by our entire family, and this behavior was an isolated incident that will not happen again.”
West Ham also released a statement saying: “West Ham United unreservedly condemns the actions of our player, Kurt Zouma, in the video that has been circulated.
“We have spoken with Kurt and will address the matter internally, but we would like to make it clear that we in no way condone cruelty to animals.”
The Sun also quoted a source familiar with the incident as saying the Bengal cat, an expensive breed of domesticated cat, created a mess at Zouma’s home that left the defender furious.
“It seemed like Kurt had gotten mad at the cat for accidentally breaking some kind of vase and knocking over a lamp in the kitchen cupboard.
“But what he does next is completely unacceptable. Kurt kicks him, throws shoes at him, and then slaps him. The poor cat looked so scared.”
