Scottish Commentator Destroys Cristiano Ronaldo with Savage Digs Live on Air During Scotland vs Portugal

Last night, Scotland held Euro 2016 winners Portugal to a thrilling 0-0 draw at Hampden Park, and the match will be remembered for more than just its goalless stalemate. Scottish commentator Charlie Mulgrew dropped some atomic burns on Cristiano Ronaldo, leaving fans in stitches and the Portuguese superstar fuming.

Ronaldo, who failed to find the back of the net and looked increasingly frustrated throughout the match, was on the receiving end of Mulgrew’s sharp tongue. As the Portuguese legend struggled to control the ball, the commentator quipped, "There’s a hole in his boot!" Mulgrew later joke, "Don’t often see that from Ronaldo, eh? Starting a motorbike! I did it plenty of times, but you don’t see it from him." The pain is real when you’re roasted like that on national television.

The 38-year-old’s night only got worse as he was seen fuming with the referee after the final whistle, throwing his arms up in the air and clapping sarcastically as he walked off the pitch. But Mulgrew wasn’t done yet, landing another blow by saying, "He’s absolutely raging!" Reacting to the commentary, fans were in hysterics, praising Mulgrew for his wit and humor.

We need more of Charlie Mulgrew in the commentary box! "He was brilliant all night," said one fan. "A breath of fresh air in the commentary box." Another fan tweeted, "Honestly, Charlie Mulgrew might be the best guy of all time." A third added, "This is brilliant from Charlie Mulgrew on commentary about Ronaldo’s touch. We need to hear more of his clever one-liners and analysis of the game."
