Why make homemade salmon seasoning?

we like to make our own homemade condiments for most things, not just for seasoning salmon! Our pork marinade, fajita seasoningY homemade chili seasoning are some of our favorites. Homemade relish recipes are best because:

Salt control: You can control the amount of salt you put in your spice mixes. When you buy store-bought mixes, they often have quite a bit of sodium and sometimes even fillers.

Heat: Having control over the spice level and sweetness of spice blends is very helpful. You really can make it your own!

Make in advance: Once you find a mix you like, you can make a double or triple batch and keep it on hand.

Try the Salmon Surrender!

Our all-time favorite salmon is salmon surrender. Wild Alaskan salmon caught in Alaska’s Bristol Bay. The salmon is bright orange, so flaky and delicious, and truly the best.

Surrender Salmon is a family business based here in Minneapolis and they are good friends of ours. Support a local business if you can.
