Ronaldo Dedicates Winning Goal to Late Dad on His 71st Birthday
Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winner to give Al Nassr a 2-1 defeat of Al Rayyan in the AFC Champions League. But this one was even more special. The Manchester United legend dedicated the victory to his late father on what would have been a significant birthday – his Dad’s 71st celebrations.
Ronaldo gave his all, lifting up his arms and gazing up at the sky on the pitch. This show of emotion is a personal tribute to his father’s memory. You see, Jose Dinis Aveiro passed away in 2005, a devastating event that shook Ronaldo to the core. It’s moving to see him still get emotional about his father this many years on.
