Amidst his goal-scoring ambitions for his next season, Ronaldo touched upon his impressive stats and aim to reach 1,000 goals, saying: "I want that. It’s the best marker I can have in football."
The conversation happened when Ronaldo mentioned he wasn’t bothered about scoring goals and praised his impressive form, stating he would reach 900 goals first and then 1,000. However, fellow ex-Manchester United player and former teammate Rio Ferdinand cut in, saying: "You’re talking about Alfredo Di Stefano, Pele, Eusebio…" with a hint of disbelief at Ronaldo’s boasts.
Ronaldo didn’t back down, highlighting his impressive goal-scoring record and stating he’s proving himself through his performance videos. He also shared his training ethos, saying: "I practice and I want to win and I don’t give nothing for free." In line with his competitive nature, even he’s competitive with his own children during training sessions.
