Salah’s Agent Goes Off on Media Over Liverpool Star’s Contract Rumors
Mohamed Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, has unleashed a scathing attack on the media after reports surfaced suggesting the Egyptian winger is set to leave Liverpool. Issa, who has been Salah’s lawyer and advisor since the early days of his career, took to social media to hit back at claims that the 30-year-old is considering a departure from Anfield.
"In case anyone needs a reality check, all those ‘journalists’ who imply having ‘inside information’ about Mohamed’s future are making claims/posts based on absolutely nothing," Issa wrote on X. "Just click-whoring. ‘Sources close to Mohamed’ don’t exist. This post is really just to tell you that they don’t know."
This isn’t the first time Issa has clashed with the media over Salah’s contract negotiations. In July 2022, the agent posted cryptic tweets that sent Liverpool fans into a frenzy, sparking rumors that the winger was poised to leave the club.
Despite the uncertainty surrounding his future, Salah has refused to give any hints about his intentions. In his latest interview, he remained tight-lipped, stating, "You know this is my last year in the club. I just want to enjoy it." When asked if anyone at the club has spoken to him about a potential extension, he simply replied, "No one has spoken to me at the club."
Liverpool’s new manager, Arne Slot, also refused to comment on the situation, saying, "Boring answer again… but we don’t talk about contracts here. Not a distraction, I am fully focused on the team to work with them to get the best possible out of them."
As Liverpool’s current season comes to a close, the pressure is mounting on the club to tie down their star players, including Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Virgil van Dijk. With their contracts set to expire at the end of the season, the Reds will need to act quickly to secure the futures of their key players.
