Mbappé Unleashes His Fury: Real Madrid Star Says There’s "No Limit" to His Goal-Scoring Prowess
Kylian Mbappé is off and running at Real Madrid, and he’s not holding back. The French superstar scored his first goal for the club in the UEFA Super Cup win over Atalanta, and he’s already setting his sights on a big season.
"I have no limit," Mbappé said after the game. "If I can score 50 goals, it’s 50. But the most important thing is to win and improve as a team, because we’re going to win as a team."
Mbappé’s goal was a beauty, coming from a slick attacking move involving Vinícius Júnior, Rodrygo, and Jude Bellingham. It was a fitting way for the 24-year-old to open his account for the club, and it capped off a dominant performance from Madrid.
The team’s attacking unit was a major factor in the win, with Mbappé, Vinícius, and Rodrygo causing all sorts of problems for the Atalanta defense. "They’re two great players," Mbappé said of his new teammates. "But here we have the best in every position. I’m happy to play with the entire squad we have, we’ll improve for sure, me first of all, but today is a positive step."
Madrid’s coach, Carlo Ancelotti, was pleased with the team’s performance, particularly in the second half. "We suffered a bit in the first half, because Atalanta press a lot, they are very good defensively," he said. "In the first half they won more duels than us. In the second half we had more space up front. And obviously in space, Rodrygo, Vinicius and Mbappé are very dangerous."
With the UEFA Super Cup win under their belts, Madrid will now turn their attention to the LaLiga season, which gets underway on Sunday against Mallorca. One thing is for sure – Mbappé will be looking to make a big impact from the start.
