Man Utd player ‘involved in ugly training ground bust-up’ could leave Erik ten Hag’s squad

Man Utd Star Hannibal Mejbri Linked With Exit as Ten Hag Looks to Make Room for New Signings

Manchester United’s struggles to find a consistent midfield has been a major talking point for months, and it seems Erik ten Hag is willing to make changes to get the best out of his team. According to reports, Hannibal Mejbri, the Tunisian midfielder, could be one of the players to make way for new signings this summer.

Mejbri, 21, has struggled to impress under Ten Hag, and his inconsistent performances have led to speculation about his future at Old Trafford. The young midfielder was involved in an ugly training ground bust-up with Alex Telles during Ralf Rangnick’s tenure, which didn’t exactly set the tone for his time at the club.

After being sent on loan to Birmingham City and Sevilla, Mejbri is said to be looking for a fresh start elsewhere. Scottish club Rangers and Danish side FC Copenhagen are reportedly interested in signing the midfielder, who has one year remaining on his contract with United.

Rangers manager Philippe Clement is said to have made Mejbri a priority target, but United are playing hard to get, and Copenhagen are also in the mix. The problem for Mejbri is that he’s not keen on moving to Denmark, which could open the door for a move to Ibrox.

Ten Hag is known for his high standards, and it’s no secret that he’s not impressed with Mejbri’s work rate and consistency. With several midfielders already on the market, including Scott McTominay, it’s clear that United are looking to revamp their midfield department.

United are currently on tour in the United States, and they’ll continue their pre-season preparations with a game against Arsenal in the early hours of Sunday morning in Los Angeles. They’ll then face Real Betis and Liverpool in further warm-up games before taking on rivals Manchester City in the Community Shield on August 10.
