Jadon Sancho Agrees Shock Move to Juventus in £60m Plus Swap Deal
Manchester United have made a surprise decision to sell English winger Jadon Sancho to Juventus in a £60m plus swap deal, report X. The 24-year-old was pivotal for Borussia Dortmund in the second half of last season, particularly in the Champions League where he was hugely influential in their run to the final.
Despite appearing to put their differences aside, Erik ten Hag has not selected Sancho in either of United’s first two Premier League games following the winger’s cameo in the Community Shield. The arrival of Federico Chiesa from Juventus, who has agreed a move to Liverpool, has effectively ended Sancho’s chances at Old Trafford.
According to Fabrice Hawkins, Juventus have reached an agreement with United for a loan deal with an obligation to buy. The report claims the buy option will be triggered at €80m, with the Italian side paying an initial €20m. Sancho is said to be very keen on the move to the Bianconeri, who have presented him with a lucrative contract offer.
"The player is very happy with the option and wants to join Juventus," a reliable source told X. "The deal has to be done, and it’s clear that Sancho wants out of Manchester United."
Sancho’s departure from United marks another major setback for the Red Devils following their dismal start to the season. Without their star winger, United will likely rely on Marcus Rashford, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Anthony Martial to spark their attack.
The move for Sancho is a significant coup for Juventus, who have been searching for a new star signing to replace the departing Paul Pogba. The talented Englishman will join a midfield already boasting the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Manuel Locatelli, and Weston McKennie.
