Luke Littler left fans in stitches after issuing a public appeal for Cristiano Ronaldo at the Sports Personality of the Year Awards.
The darts superstar appeared on the BBC program last night after being nominated for the top prize.
Littler finished second behind Team GB Olympic hero Keeley Hodgkinson.
But his incredible debut season in darts was recognized when he lifted the Young Spotty Trophy.
Littler is now preparing to make his bow at this year’s World Darts Championship.
After finishing runner-up to Luke Humphries in January, Littler is determined to get his hands on the game’s top prize.
However, there was another pressure on the teen’s mind last night.
Littler has made no secret of his love for Manchester United.
The legend is a regular visitor to Old Trafford and has even met the current team at Carrington.
As a result, his idol is none other than Red Devils legend Ronaldo, who won numerous trophies during two spells at the club and now plays in Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr.
And when asked in SPOTY if he was excited to see any other big names in attendance, Littler admitted there was only one famous player he was looking forward to meeting.
Littler said: “There is only one person I would like to meet and that is Cristiano Ronaldo.”
