LIVERPOOL’S CHIESA BID LEAVES FANS STUNNED
Liverpool have reportedly submitted an opening bid for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, and fans are left reeling on social media.
The Italian international has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield ahead of the transfer deadline, with Juventus looking to offload him this summer as he’s out of contract in 2025. The Serie A giants are reportedly demanding a whopping £12.7 million to let him go, but Liverpool’s offer has fallen short of that valuation.
According to reports, the Reds have lodged an initial bid of £8.4 million, which could rise to £10 million with add-ons. That’s a steal for a player of Chiesa’s caliber, who would likely earn £5.9 million per season at Anfield.
But despite the bargain price, fans have taken to social media to express their discontent with the bid. "Transfer fee alone, that’s a bargain for Chiesa," wrote one user on social media platform X. Another fan criticized the offer, saying, "Even if Juventus had said €1m, Liverpool would ask them to offer him for free."
The lack of ambition in Liverpool’s offer has left many fans stunned, with one fan concluding, "That’s very low man."
