Liverpool Plotting Last-Minute Kingsley Coman Swoop as Federico Chiesa Deal Hits Snag
The Reds are reportedly eyeing a surprise move for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman as a potential attacking option this summer, with Federico Chiesa’s deal hitting a snag.
Liverpool have been quiet so far in the transfer window, with only a goalkeeper deal with Giorgi Mamardashvili reportedly in the final stages. However, it seems they are looking to bolster their attack, and Coman could be the man to do just that.
The French international has struggled for game time at Bayern, making just 27 appearances last season and averaging just over 60 minutes per game. But, despite his limited action, he still managed to score five goals and provide three assists.
Liverpool aren’t the only Premier League club interested in Coman, with Arsenal also monitoring the situation. According to Football Insider, Arsenal are keen to bring in a wide forward and are willing to offer a loan-to-buy deal for Coman, which could tempt Bayern into a deal.
However, it’s worth noting that Liverpool’s priority remains signing Chiesa, and the Italian international’s situation at Juventus could spark a move to Anfield. Having been left out of Juventus’ squad for their 3-0 win over Verona on Monday, it seems likely that Chiesa will be on the move this summer.
Barcelona have also been linked with Chiesa, but it’s reported that the Italian international is keen on a move to the Premier League.
The clock is ticking, and Liverpool may need to act fast if they want to land their top target. Will Coman be the man to fill the gap, or will Chiesa ultimately be the one to join the Reds?
