Salah Takes the Top Spot in Liverpool’s Brutal Pre-Season Drill
Arne Slot’s first pre-season training session at Liverpool has already raised eyebrows, and now we have a new top scorer in the 6-Minute Race Test (6MRT). The Egyptian king, Mohamed Salah, has taken the crown from Sepp van den Berg, who had previously led the way.
According to James Pearce from The Athletic, Salah’s performance was "phenomenal" and covered a distance of around 1.5km to 2km, which is considered a good showing. Fitness coach Conall Murtagh was impressed with the 32-year-old’s display, and it’s no surprise given his dedication to his training regime.
The 6MRT is a tough test, and players are required to complete a continuous six-minute run around a 400m track. It’s no wonder that players like Salah and Endo, who also participated in the test, are among the fittest in the squad.
Salah’s new top spot is a testament to his incredible work ethic and dedication to his craft. The former Chelsea star has continued to defy his age and maintain an exceptional level of fitness, making him a vital asset to the Liverpool team.
What’s Next?
Liverpool’s pre-season is just getting underway, and we can expect to see more exciting developments in the coming weeks. Will Salah’s impressive display be enough to earn him a starting spot in the team? Only time will tell.
