Liverpool Fans Go Wild as Salah and Alexander-Arnold Hint at Contract Extensions in Behind-the-Scenes Image
Liverpool fans are buzzing after a behind-the-scenes image of Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold filming with the club has sparked theories that the duo may be on the verge of extending their contracts.
The Premier League giants have been hit with uncertainty surrounding the futures of their key players, with Salah and Alexander-Arnold’s deals set to expire next year. However, the new image has sent shockwaves through the Reds’ fanbase, with many believing that the pair may be hinting at their commitment to the club.
The image, posted on the Liverpool FC subreddit, shows Salah and Alexander-Arnold filming with the club using a green screen, leading some fans to theorise that a double extension may be announced soon.
"My heart says yes, but my brain says no," wrote one fan in the comments section. "If anything needs to happen this summer is an extension for these guys, but it could be just a random photo shoot," added another.
Another fan stressed the importance of confirming their future with the club, saying, "If it is extensions, then I am happy even if we sign no one this summer. Getting TAA, VVD, and Salah sorted is more important than any player we could have signed."
However, not everyone is convinced that this video could be the good news that all Liverpool fans are waiting for. "The players do so much club media stuff and ads/sponsorship stuff… I wouldn’t read into it too much," pointed out one fan.
While another joked, "Incoming Instagram post about these two and that Roomba Lawnmower the club partnered with."
The uncertainty surrounding Salah’s and Alexander-Arnold’s contracts has been a major talking point in the lead-up to the new season. Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Alexander-Arnold, who is said to be considering a move to play alongside close friend Jude Bellingham.
Meanwhile, reports have suggested that Salah could consider a move to the Saudi Pro League, after Al Ittihad submitted a bid of around £200 million for the Egyptian forward last summer.
Captain Virgil van Dijk, who said he would need to think about his future at Anfield, will also become available as a free agent next summer if a new deal with the Reds isn’t penned.
As the transfer window remains open, Liverpool fans will be anxiously waiting for any updates on their star players’ futures. Could this behind-the-scenes image be the start of a new era for the Reds?
