Lionel Messi has been fined an unknown amount by MLS to violate the league policy related to raising hands on the face, head or neck of an opponent by MLS.
The MLS Disciplinary Committee on 22 February decided to pursue 37 years of Antar Miami after an incident at the end of a 2–2 draw with New York City FC.
The eight -time Ballon D’Or winner was seen contacting a member of the opposition coaching staff and placed his hand behind his neck.
Team’s partner Luis Suarez has also been fined for violating the same MLS policy, when he took a pinch behind opposing the neck of the player Birk Risa in an incident in half a time.
