Leny Yoro injury timeline revealed as major update provided on Man Utd defender

Leny Yoro Injury Timeline Revealed: Manchester United Defender Set to Miss Opening Three Games

Manchester United’s pre-season has been hit with a blow as young defender Leny Yoro suffered an injury in the Red Devils’ 2-1 defeat to Arsenal. The 18-year-old Frenchman was forced to limp off the pitch after just 32 minutes, sparking fears of a lengthy absence.

However, according to a report from Neil Custis, Yoro will only miss the opening three games of the new Premier League season with a metatarsal injury. This means he will be unavailable for selection against Fulham, Brighton, and Liverpool, but is expected to return to action on September 14 at Southampton.

Yoro’s injury was a major blow to Manchester United, who were already dealing with a number of concerns ahead of the new season. The Frenchman had impressed in his debut against Rangers, and his absence will be felt in the Red Devils’ backline.

Speaking after the game, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag admitted he was disappointed by Yoro’s injury. "It is too short [notice] we have to wait over 24 hours and then we know hopefully more," he said. "We were very careful especially with Leny. He did only 50 per cent from the sessions so it was very disappointing that he had to come off but let’s be positive and see what is coming out."

Yoro’s injury is a setback for Manchester United, but the club will be hoping that he can make a swift recovery and return to action as soon as possible. In the meantime, the Red Devils will have to rely on other defenders to fill the gap.
