Laura Woods Announces She’s Expecting Her First Child
It’s been a whirlwind few years for football presenter Laura Woods, who’s become a household name in the world of live coverage. But now, she’s about to take a break from the beautiful game to focus on something even more beautiful – her first child!
Woods, 37, has been a staple in the football world, presenting games for ITV, Amazon Prime, and TNT Sports. Her most recent gig was hosting ITV’s coverage of Euro 2024 this summer. But, as of today, she’s announced that she’s expecting her first child with her partner, Love Island star Adam Collard, 28.
The news comes just two months after Woods suffered a freak injury that forced her to pull out of hosting Tyson Fury’s defeat to Oleksandr Usyk on TNT Sports. A lampshade shattered above her head, leaving her with cuts on her face and arm. She underwent emergency surgery and has been recovering ever since.
Woods took to Instagram to share the exciting news, posting a photo of her French bulldog and a sonogram with the caption, "Hey baby." The post racked up almost 50,000 likes in under an hour!
As Woods prepares for motherhood, she’s set to return to our TV screens later this month to present Eurosport’s coverage of the 2024 Olympic Games. She’ll then return to presenting Premier League football on TNT Sports, as well as regularly appearing on talkSPORT and other outlets.
What’s Next for Laura Woods?
With her first child on the way, Woods will be taking a break from her presenting duties for the time being. But, we can’t wait to see her back on our screens in the future, possibly with a new perspective on the beautiful game.
Stay Tuned!
