Mbappe’s X Account Hacked, Controversial Messi-Ronaldo Post Goes Viral
Kylian Mbappe’s recent move to Real Madrid has been sending shockwaves across the football world. The French superstar’s X account was hacked just days after his transfer, and it’s left fans stunned.
The hackers didn’t hold back, publishing a series of provocative posts from Mbappe’s account. One of the most eyebrow-raising posts was a controversial tweet about the long-standing Messi-Ronaldo rivalry, drawing attention from football fans worldwide. The posts also touched on Manchester United, Manchester City, and Tottenham, but thankfully, the account was recovered, and the offensive content was deleted.
Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid has been huge news, and his first trophy with the club came with their win at the UEFA Super Cup, where he also scored his first goal. It’s fair to say that the 24-year-old is settling in nicely at the Santiago Bernabeu.
A New Era for the Champions League
Meanwhile, a significant change is coming to European club football with the revamped UEFA Champions League format. An expanded competition featuring 36 clubs, with more matches and prize money, kicks off on Thursday with the draw taking place in Monaco.
UEFA is hailing the new format as a "thrilling new future" for the game, but there’s a risk that fans might find it confusing compared to the old model. For the past 21 years, the Champions League has consisted of a group stage with 32 clubs, but the new version will feature a single league table with 36 teams playing eight matches each.
The top eight teams will progress to the last 16, while the next 16 will advance to an intermediate play-off round. The new format was introduced in response to the threat of Europe’s top clubs leaving to form their own Super League.
