Kylian Mbappe has admitted his disappointment at not getting the chance to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.
Mbappé was a Real Madrid fan growing up and his father previously described Ronaldo as his “idol”, with the French forward believed to have posters of Ronaldo on his bedroom wall as a child.
The pair have shared the pitch before but only as opponents. Ronaldo scored three goals in two matches as Madrid defeated Mbappé’s Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16 of the 2017/18 Champions League, while they have also faced Portugal and France three times on the international stage.
“I have played with great players: Lionel Messi, Neymar, [Antoine] griezmann, [Paul] pogba, [Karim] Benzema… It would have been fun to play with Cristiano Ronaldo,” Mbappe said be in sports,
