Kylian Mbappe’s Twitter Account Hacked: Real Madrid and French Star’s Account Spends the Night Promoting Cryptocurrency
Kylian Mbappe’s night got a whole lot stranger – his Twitter account was hacked on Wednesday! The Real Madrid and France sensation’s account was compromised overnight, and the hackers went on a crazy ride, sending out bizarre and confusing messages.
The hacking activity started with a tweet suggesting that Mbappe was joining Manchester United in 2028, followed by messages asking popular streamer Angry Ginge to add him to his Pro Clubs team. You know, the usual requests on Twitter… The account then even went on to declare Cristiano Ronaldo as a better player than Lionel Messi.
For those who missed it, here are some of the screenshots:
However, by the morning, Mbappe’s representatives probably got wind of what was happening and regained control of the account, with the tweets slowly being deleted.
Fans were left scratching their heads over the bizarre activity, which wasn’t the first time someone – or something – hacked into high-profile accounts. Remember Jamie Carragher’s Euro 2024 escapade?
It’s been happening a lot lately, especially related to cryptocurrency scams. Mbappe should be grateful that no damaging information was leaked, but you got to wonder what motivated someone to hack into his account. We also hope he’s taking cybersecurity tips from his teammates and clubs.
On a more serious note, these hacks can have devastating effects on individuals and their reputation. For this reason, we urge you, our readers, to remain cautious while using social media and to avoid clicks on suspicious links.
