Jose Mourinho eyeing stunning double Premier League swoop for Fenerbahce

Jose Mourinho Eyeing Stunning Double Swoop for Fenerbahce

The Turkish transfer window may be closing soon, but Jose Mourinho is still busy plotting his next move. The Fenerbahce boss has reportedly set his sights on not one, but two Premier League stars ahead of the deadline.

According to sources, Mourinho is eyeing a loan deal for Newcastle United’s Kieran Trippier, with an obligation to buy on a permanent deal. The 33-year-old right-back has struggled for game time at St. James’ Park, making just two substitute appearances this season.

Trippier’s future is expected to be resolved soon, with a summer move expected. The former England international has been linked with a number of clubs, but it seems Mourinho is keen to bring him to Istanbul.

But that’s not all – Mourinho is also reportedly interested in Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell. The 27-year-old left-back has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and is deemed surplus to requirements by new boss Enzo Maresca.

Chelsea are open to sending Chilwell on loan to Turkey, with the player facing at least four months in the football wilderness if he stays. Mourinho is believed to be keen on acquiring his services, and it would be a major coup for Fenerbahce to land both Trippier and Chilwell.

The double swoop would be a major statement of intent from Mourinho, who has already made a big impact at Fenerbahce since taking over in the summer. With the Turkish Super Lig just around the corner, Mourinho will be looking to build a strong squad to challenge for the title.
