As the teams took the pitch in Berlin, Olmo was spotted chatting with teammates Lamine Yamal and Gavi, sporting a tea cup in his hand. When ITV presenter Mark Pougatch questioned the unusual beverage choice, Wright was quick to jump to conclusions. "I think he’s taking the micky out of us," he stated bluntly.
We have to say, it does look a bit dodgy. But what’s really surprising is that Olmo’s gestures didn’t raise any suspicions from the England camp. Maybe it’s because they were too caught up in their own warm-up routine – Jude Bellingham and Joselu were sharing a warm hug before the match, reminiscing about their days at Real Madrid.
Olmo, on the other hand, looked focused on the task at hand. And with three goals and two assists under his belt, he’ll be a key player for Spain in the final.
But what about his future? Reportedly, Manchester City are keeping a close eye on the 26-year-old, who has a £50.5 million release clause in his RB Leipzig contract.
When asked about the clause, Olmo remained calm and collected. " Clause until July 20? Yes, if clubs want me, they know what they can do. There’s time until July 20 for the clause otherwise later it’d be tough negotiations!"
He’s putting all his energy into the upcoming match, though, and we love his dedication. As he pointed out, "I’m under contract at Leipzig and I want to win titles."
