How much Cristiano Ronaldo has earned in Saudi Pro League so far since leaving Man Utd

Cristiano Ronaldo signed a lucrative contract with Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr back in December 2022.

Cristiano Ronaldo signed one of the biggest contracts in sports when he penned a deal with Al Nassr at the very end of 2022.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s second stint at Manchester United ended on a sour note, with his contract terminated by mutual consent after a fall-out with Erik ten Hag.

Rumours had been swirling about where Ronaldo’s next move would be and on 30 December, it was confirmed that he had put pen to paper with Al Nassr.

Ronaldo’s contract is said to include a yearly wage of £177 million, which makes him the highest-paid footballer in world football by some distance.

He takes home a whopping £3,403,846 per week for his exploits in the Saudi Pro League and has raked in an absolute fortune since moving to the Middle East.

Ronaldo has been an Al Nassr for 67 weeks, meaning he has collected a whopping £228 million since signing on the dotted line.

His arrival has undoubtedly raised the profile of the Saudi Pro League and proved to be the catalyst for a slew of big players to make the switch.

The likes of Neymar, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Karim Benzema, Riyad Mahrez and Ruben Neves are all playing in Saudi Arabia for some of the region’s biggest teams.

Ronaldo is contracted until the summer of 2025 and there are indications that the Portuguese superstar would be happy to extend his stay at Al Awwal Park.

The 39-year-old has an impressive record of 56 goals in 62 games for Al Nassr but there have been plenty of instances where he has appeared angry and frustrated.

In a 2-1 Saudi Super Cup defeat to Al Hilal, Ronaldo was shown his red card in Saudi following a spat with Ali Al-Bulaihi.

He elbowed the defender near the touchline and was promptly shown his marching orders.
