India’s U-19 World Cup winning team was congratulated on Wednesday by the BCCI on the sidelines of the second ODI here on Wednesday.
The U-19 heroes, dressed in blazers, got their first look at the second ODI at the Narendra Modi stadium from the stands as they had a blast watching their stars in the presence of head coach Hrishikesh Kanitkar and other support staff members.
The members of the victorious team were not able to meet the top Indian cricketers as they were part of the bio-bubble created for the three-match series.

Former India batsman and Director of the National Cricket Academy, VVS Laxman, who was with the team in the Caribbean, was also on hand for the occasion. And also BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, Treasurer Arun Dhumal and some other top officials from state cricket bodies.
The Board has already announced a cash reward of Rs 40 lakh for players and Rs 25 lakh each for support staff.
India’s Under-19 team had returned home on Tuesday. The team took the long flight back from the Caribbean with connections in Amsterdam and Dubai before arriving in Bangalore on Tuesday morning and then the team arrived in Ahmedabad.
