Alisson’s Fury: Liverpool Goalkeeper’s Blistering Rant at Conor Bradley After Nottingham Forest Goal
Liverpool’s perfect start to the season was shattered by Nottingham Forest on Saturday, and the Reds’ goalkeeper Alisson Becker was left fuming on the pitch. Footage has emerged showing Alisson’s angry reaction to Conor Bradley’s mistake that led to Forest’s winning goal.
The Reds had dominated possession but struggled to create clear-cut chances against Forest’s stubborn defense. But when Callum Hudson-Odoi scored the winner in the 72nd minute, Liverpool’s defense was left shell-shocked. And it was Bradley’s error that allowed Hudson-Odoi to cut inside and shoot.
The video shows Alisson shouting at Bradley, his right leg kicking out in frustration. It’s clear that Alisson was not happy with Bradley’s mistake, and the young full-back took the blame. "Alisson was having a moan at Bradley after that goal and he’s 100% right," one fan tweeted. "Everyone watching that game knew he wanted to come in his right foot. He made it so easy for him."
After the match, Alisson admitted that Liverpool’s defense was at fault. "In the first half, they just defended, kicked long balls. Second half, I think with their changes, we didn’t adapt quick enough and so we conceded three counterattacks before we conceded the goal – on a counterattack. So we should have defended better on those situations."
He also criticized his team’s lack of quality in the final third. "We couldn’t create much, we had a lack of quality today, we needed more energy. It is three points we have lost today unnecessarily. All the opportunities we had were not clear enough and they defended great, they threw themselves in front of the ball."
Liverpool will look to bounce back in their UEFA Champions League opener against AC Milan on Tuesday. But for now, the Reds are left to pick up the pieces after a disappointing defeat.
