The list of the world’s most valuable players has been released by Transfermarkt, and it’s fair to say that it’s sparked a lot of controversy. The top spot is shared by four superstar players, including Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland, Vinicius Jr, and Kylian Mbappe, all valued at a whopping €180 million.
But what’s got many fans talking is the ranking of Phil Foden, who’s valued at €150 million, just €10 million below his England teammate Bukayo Saka. Foden’s lacklustre performance at the Euros seems to have had an impact on his rating, with many fans feeling that it’s not justified.
One fan joked, "How on earth did Foden still worth the same amount after dropping stinkers at the Euros?" Another simply said, "Foden shouldn’t be above Saka." And a third remarked, "If you gave every club on the world an unlimited transfer budget, not one of them would spend €150m on a Phil Foden."
