Attorneys for Stewart Rhodes shared their latest presentation exclusively with The Gateway Pundit this afternoon.
Stewart Rhodes will back to court next weekseeking to avoid a transfer to the Washington DC jail.
stewart rhodes was transferred from his holding cell in Plano, Texas, to the Cimarron Prison and Correctional Facility in northeastern Oklahoma two weeks ago. Cimarron is a medium security facility in Cushing, Oklahoma.
Rhodes is the founder and leader of the Oath Keepersa group that describes itself as a nonpartisan association of current and former military, police, and first responders who pledge to uphold the oath taken by all military and police officers to “defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and nationals”.
The federal government charged Stewart with “seditious conspiracy” after the patriotic group attended several events in Washington DC on January 5 and 6, 2021. The organization provided security at several of the planned rallies those two days, including the speech of President Trump in Ellipse.
The “seditious conspiracy” charge is a complete sham and the Justice Department knows it. The Justice Department claims, without a shred of evidence, that the Oathkeepers were plotting to overthrow the US government by force. The Oath Keepers were unarmed on January 6 at the United States Capitol. Rhodes told his members to enter the city unarmed. It is difficult to sustain an insurrection with bare fists. But that is the BS this administration and its media lackeys feed us on a daily basis.

From the legal brief:
It should be noted, and also emphasized that the Government revealed in a revealing way, that communicating through social networks and/or encrypted messaging services is not illegal. The purchase of legal weapons through legal channels by people who are not prohibited from owning those weapons is not illegal. Coordinating with people in different parts of the country to meet at a specific time and place is not illegal. Being a member of a militia-type group and participating in military-type training is not illegal.
The government is trying to make up offenses against Stewart Rhodes that just aren’t true.
