EXCLUSIVE | Man Utd star Leny Yoro speaks out on social media fallout following ‘fake’ comments about his Old Trafford future

Leny Yoro Hits Back at Fake Social Media Account Claiming He’s Not Interested in Manchester United Move

Manchester United are reportedly making a last-ditch attempt to sign Lille defender Leny Yoro, but things just got a whole lot juicier. According to French journalist Nabil Djellit, United have had an official offer of £42 million plus bonuses accepted by Lille, which is significantly more than Real Madrid’s proposed deal. But, it seems, one person isn’t too thrilled about the transfer saga.

Yoro, who’s been linked with a move away from Lille this summer, took to social media to respond to a fake account claiming he’s not interested in joining the Red Devils. The account, which had somehow managed to gain a large following, wrote, "I don’t want you @ManUtd, leave me alone." Not one to be silenced, the real Yoro fired back: "Fake account. You guys are psycho. Signal this account."

So, what’s the real story? Well, it seems United are willing to cough up a pretty penny to secure the signing of the 19-year-old centre-back. Yoro has been a standout performer under Bruno Genesio, making 41 appearances in all competitions last season. And, if you’re wondering what makes him so special, former Manchester United midfielder Angel Gomes, who plays alongside Yoro at Lille, has had nothing but praise for the French defender.

"As soon as he arrived in the group, I understood that he was going to reach the summits," Gomes told Eurosport. "When I discovered the pros at the age of 16 at Manchester United, I understood that it was different. He already had the right temperament. And that’s not normal for a 16 or 17-year-old player arriving. It’s like he’s already an experienced player."

So, what’s the future hold for Yoro? With United’s improved offer on the table, it’s clear that they’re serious about signing the young defender. But will he choose to join the Premier League giants or stick with Lille? Only time will tell.
