Electricity Price Tuesday August 2: What would be the cheapest time to save?


Consumers have to be cautious this Tuesday, August 2. There will be times when it is more appropriate to put on the washing machine, iron, or use the oven. Knowing which ones are the cheapest allows you to focus on spending and saving on the bill at the end of the month. According to operator Omi, the average reference for the whole day in the wholesale market will be 261.95 euros per megawatt hour. Once again, hour to hour will make huge differences.

Wholesale market figures are reflected in consumer receipts. Based on data from Red Electrica the most expensive hours will be reached between 06:00 and 08:00, when the bill price will rise to 294.02 euros per megawatt hour (MWh). On the other hand, the cheapest hour will be recorded between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm, when the megawatt hour will be paid at 207.41 euros.
