Eden Hazard didn’t hesitate when asked who’s better between him and Liverpool forward Mo Salah

Eden Hazard Reveals the Shocking Truth About His Decline at Real Madrid

In a recent interview with The Obi One Podcast, Eden Hazard opened up about his struggles during his time at Real Madrid, and it’s safe to say that the Belgian legend’s comments will raise more than a few eyebrows.

When asked about his decline in form, Hazard pointed to the COVID-19 pandemic as a major factor in his struggles. "I think I was a bit unlucky with that period with Covid, because if you want to know the real story, I went to Dallas to do the surgery on my ankle then I came back to Madrid and it was Covid," he explained.

Hazard also revealed that he was left to rehabilitate his ankle alone, without the assistance of a physio. "I had two to two-and-a-half months of Covid, me at home alone, no physio to do the rehab. I did my rehab alone," he said. "If I had to choose one thing to change I should have said to the doctor, ‘Bring a physio, I need a good rehab’. I have to do [it] because I want to play at the highest level."

It’s little wonder, then, that Hazard’s performances at Real Madrid were nowhere near his best. Despite his efforts to push his body to the limit, his ankle problems continued to plague him, and he eventually suffered a series of injuries that ultimately forced him to bring an early end to his career.

Salah vs Hazard: Who was the Better Player?

But before we get too caught up in Hazard’s struggles, let’s go back to his earlier statement about Mohamed Salah being the better player. It’s a claim that will raise some eyebrows, given the incredible success Hazard enjoyed during his time at Chelsea.

However, it’s hard to disagree with Hazard’s assessment. After all, Salah has won numerous accolades with Liverpool, including a Champions League title and a Premier League crown. And let’s not forget his incredible goal-scoring record, which has seen him become one of the most feared strikers in the world.

So, who was the better player? In our opinion, it’s a tough call. Both Hazard and Salah are incredible talents, but in different ways. Hazard’s creativity and vision on the pitch were unmatched, while Salah’s sheer power and speed made him almost unstoppable.

Ultimately, the debate will continue to rage on, but one thing is for sure: both Hazard and Salah are football legends, and we’re lucky to have had the chance to watch them ply their trade.
