Dyson launches V12 Detect Slim vacuum cleaner with laser detection technology in India

Dyson has launched its latest cordless vacuum cleaner in India – the Dyson V12 Detect Slim, which comes with laser detection technology. The Dyson V12 Detect Slim has the company’s Hyperdymium motor, which generates up to 150 watts of suction air. It has five-stage filtration, and the company claims that this vacuum can capture dust particles down to 0.3 microns.

“As engineers, our job is to solve daily problems, and in recent months many new ones have been created with more time on the inside. We all clean more often, trying to remove extra dust from around the house, but desperate for the peace of mind that our homes are truly clean,” said James Dyson, chief engineer and founder, in a press release.

It also uses adapted laser technology to reveal hidden dust. Dyson has integrated a diode laser into the cleaner head, which will reveal particles that might not be visible to the naked eye. In addition, the laser is positioned in a way that ensures an optimal angle when using the cleaner.

The company has used a green laser diode, and this was chosen for its ability to provide the best contrast. The laser is installed on the Slim Fluffy cleaning head to ensure that hidden dust on the floor surface can be seen and removed.

In addition, the vacuum cleaner can measure the size and count particles 15,000 times per second thanks to its acoustic piezoelectric sensor. This sensor converts the vibrations into electrical signals, which then display the size and number of particles sucked in on an LCD screen on the back of the vacuum. Dyson claims that the user can see how much dust the vacuum has removed, as well as the different particle sizes.

Also, the sensor will ensure that the suction power increases when the vacuum encounters a large amount of dust. This happens in automatic mode when the piezoelectric sensor detects high concentrations of dust. The reactive suction power is activated to automatically increase the power thanks to the sensor.

Dyson is also adding a new anti-tangle hair screw tool. This will eliminate the problem of hair getting stuck in the brush bar. The new anti-tangle tapered brush bar spirals hair out and deposits it in the container. This also prevents hair from wrapping around the brush bar, which is a common problem with vacuum cleaners.

The Dyson V12 Detect Slim is available from today, starting at Rs 58,900 at Dyson.in and Dyson’s own offline stores.
