Fans think Cristiano Ronaldo has taken a cheeky dig at Lionel Messi in response to Elon Musk.
Last month, five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo scored twice for Al Nassr as they beat Al Gharafa 3-1 in the AFC Champions League.
After the match, the Portuguese posted several photos from the game on social media, with the caption: “Big win tonight!”
Responding to Ronaldo’s tweet, Tesla and X-owner Musk wrote: “Congratulations!”
In response to Musk, Ronaldo delivered an eight-word message, which Said: “Glad your eyes have time for a good “soccer”.”
Reacting on social media, fans felt Ronaldo had taken a bit of a dig at Messi, who is now playing for Inter Miami in the United States.
‘Soccer’ is also a popular term used in the States for football.
One fan said: “My GOAT.”
Another tweeted: “An actual tweet that’s not PR…”
A third fan said: “That’s why he’s the GOAT.”
However, it could be that Ronaldo is simply using the word ‘soccer’ due to Musk being an American citizen.

Ronaldo has scored 913 goals in his illustrious career so far.
Speaking at the start of the year, the 39-year-old outlined his ambition to reach 1000 career goals during a chat with former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand on YouTube.
He Said: “I know I still look good, I look good, I think I can still dribble, shoot, score and jump. The day I start feeling like I’m not producing anything, listen, I pack my bag and leave.
“But it is far from that because as I told you, I don’t want to be arrogant, I have scored 60 goals (23/24) this season. Then people say I didn’t score in five games at the Euros, I scored 130, I’m the highest goalscorer in history. I will set the bar even higher.”
The 39-year-old further said: “Soon I will make 900 and after that, I will beat 1,000. I want to reach the 1,000 goal. If I don’t have any injuries, that’s the most important thing for me. I want that.
“That’s the best marker for me in football. One difference would be: All of my goals have videos, so I can prove it.
