The motion presented against the head of the Interior says that he is looking for “to prevent the continuation of similar events that affect the institutionality of the National Police and presumably endorse an interference in the investigations of autonomous bodies regarding the disciplinary process initiated against PNP Colonel Harvey Colchado”.

In this regard, Huerta, during his speech at the Fifth International Congress on Citizen Security, held at the Legislative Palace, indicated that he will acquiesce to the decision made by the Plenary.

“I have concentrated on working in the fight against citizen insecurity, strategies have been made to strengthen the police institution, in that sense, I will work until the last day in my office and I will comply with what the law has Congress”, he sentenced.
