Conceiçao’s Juve Adventure: Motta’s Message, Ronaldo’s Wait, and His Path to Success
Francisco Conceiçao is slowly getting up to speed with his new Juventus teammates, but the Portuguese winger is already sending out strong messages. After Thiago Motta told him to "enjoy the experience" and show his quality, Conceiçao has revealed he’ll be having a chat with none other than Cristiano Ronaldo soon.
The 21-year-old joined Juve on loan from FC Porto and made his debut as a substitute in a 0-0 draw against Roma at the Allianz Stadium. Unfortunately, he picked up an injury shortly after, ruling him out for a month. However, Conceiçao is keeping his spirits high and has spoken highly of the Juventus setup.
"I’m feeling well, the team and staff welcomed me warmly," Conceiçao said. "I have positive feelings, and I want consistency now." He also credited his compatriot Ronaldo for inspiring him, stating, "Our trajectories share many similar traits, and I see myself in his desire to improve."
Despite the setback, Conceiçao is determined to return to the pitch as soon as possible. "I’m working daily to return quickly. I’m calm because it’s not a big thing, we’ll see with time," he said. The winger is eager to make a positive impact and has set his sights on helping Juventus in any way he can.
As he recovers from his injury, Conceiçao is taking advice from none other than Thiago Motta. The Juventus coach told him to "enjoy the experience and show his football," and Conceiçao is determined to do just that. He believes Motta will help him improve his game and take him to the next level.
The youngster also had a chat with his father, Sergio, a former Inter, Parma, and Lazio winger in Serie A. "He told me that Italian football is always competitive, one of the best in the world, with excellent quality and competitiveness. Ideal to show my qualities," Conceiçao said. The father-son duo are proud of each other’s achievements, and Francisco is keen to carve out his own path.
In the long run, Conceiçao would love to stay at Juventus beyond his loan period. "This is an aspect for the clubs, I am only focused on daily work. I am here to be as successful as possible. It’s a big club, and I hope to represent it for a long time," he concluded.
