Carmen is a gypsy teenager who lives on the outskirts of Madrid. Like any other gypsy girl, she is destined to have a life that is repeated generation after generation: get married and raise as many children as possible. But one day she meets Lola, an unusual gypsy who dreams of going to college, she draws bird graffiti and is different. Carmen quickly develops a complicity with Lola and both will try to carry their romance forward, despite the inconveniences and social discrimination to which they have to be subjected by their families.
Together with Carolina Yuste, the only professional actress in the cast, the faces of Zaira Romero and Rosy Rodriguez light up the screen and fill this moving story of forbidden love with emotion and truth, which dares to jump the barrier of some of the taboos of the gypsy people.
