LA Galaxy Pursuing Marco Reus as They Look to Take Next Step
The LA Galaxy are on the hunt for a marquee signing and they’ve set their sights on none other than former Borussia Dortmund and Germany attacking midfielder Marco Reus. Sources have confirmed that the Galaxy are in talks with Reus, who is currently out of contract after his deal with Dortmund expired at the end of last season.
At 35, Reus is still one of the most talented players in the game and his experience and leadership could be exactly what the Galaxy need to take the next step. The German midfielder has played for some of the biggest clubs in the world, including Borussia Monchengladbach and Borussia Dortmund, and has won numerous titles throughout his career.
Reus’ partnership with some of the Galaxy’s top scorers, including Riqui Puig, Gabriel Pec, Dejan Joveljic, and Joseph Paintsil, could be deadly. He’s known for his pace, skill, and precision, which would make him a perfect fit for the Galaxy’s attacking system. Reus has also played under some of the best coaches in the world, including Jürgen Klopp and Lucien Favre, which gives the Galaxy a boost of credibility and a chance to learn from someone with immense experience.
The Galaxy are already boasting an impressive attack, averaging 1.66 goals per 90 minutes of actual playing time, which is tied for seventh-best in the league. Adding Reus to the mix would undoubtedly take their offense to the next level.
As Reus prepares to enter the final chapter of his illustrious career, the Galaxy are making a statement that they’re committed to competing for trophies. With Reus, the Galaxy would be gaining a world-class player who would fit perfectly into their system.
