Bernardo Silva brutally rips into Arsenal as he explains the difference between them and Liverpool

Bernardo Silva Takes Aim at Arsenal, Slams "Time-Wasting" Tactic

Bernardo Silva has unleashed a scathing attack on Arsenal, slamming their "time-wasting" tactics in their dramatic draw with Manchester City on Sunday. The Portuguese midfielder was left seething as the Gunners, down to 10 men after Leandro Trossard’s red card, led 2-1 until John Stones’ 98th-minute equalizer.

Silva took aim at Arsenal’s tactics, pointing out that they only came to play "to the limits of what was possible to do and allowed by the referee". He compared their approach to that of Liverpool, who have faced Manchester City head-on and come out victorious in numerous battles.

"When Liverpool faced us, they came to win matches. They never came to time-waste or try to get something out of nothing," Silva said. "Perhaps because Liverpool has already won the Premier League and Arsenal hasn’t. Liverpool, at that time, had also won a Champions League, while Arsenal hasn’t. From that perspective, our games against Arsenal haven’t been like the matches against Liverpool were, and still are!"

Silva also blasted the referee for allowing Arsenal to waste time and the FA for not doing enough to prevent such tactics. "They say a lot but nothing happens," he said. "We had a player injured after they sent him to the ground twice in 10 minutes. We had a goal conceded after the referee called our captain and then didn’t allow him to recover his position."

The midfielder’s comments come as no surprise, given Manchester City’s history with Arsenal and their frustration with the Gunners’ perceived lack of sportsmanship. However, Silva’s opinions are unlikely to go unnoticed, and Arsenal fans may be bracing themselves for a stern response from the Portuguese ace.
