Another Man Utd player leaves on permanent transfer after being axed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe

Manchester United’s Squad Shakeup Continues: Another Player Exits on Permanent Transfer

Manchester United’s busy summer transfer window has seen another player leave the club on a permanent transfer, as Hannibal Mejbri makes the switch to Championship side Burnley. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a four-year deal with the Clarets for an undisclosed fee, reportedly worth an initial £5.4 million.

Mejbri’s departure from Old Trafford comes as part of Erik ten Hag’s ongoing squad overhaul, with the Dutch coach looking to revamp his squad ahead of the new season. So far this summer, United have brought in the likes of Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui, while also selling the likes of Donny van de Beek, Facundo Pellistri, Willy Kambwala, Aaron Wan Bissaka, and Mason Greenwood.

Hannibal, who spent last season on loan with La Liga side Sevilla, has expressed his excitement about the new challenge ahead, saying: "I’m very excited. Very happy to be here and I can’t wait to see the fans. I have played against Burnley before at Turf Moor and the atmosphere was amazing."

United’s official statement on the transfer read: "Hannibal has completed a permanent transfer from Manchester United to Championship side Burnley. The 21-year-old has moved to the Clarets after spending five years at United. We wish you the best of luck with your next steps, Hannibal!"

Burnley, who are looking to make an instant return to the Premier League under new manager Scott Parker, have welcomed Mejbri to the club, describing him as a "talented attacking midfielder" who will be a valuable addition to their squad.
